Winners Winners and Losers- The Randy Wise AJGA Tournament at Warwick Hills

The AJGA Staff- The AJGA Tournament Staff and the staff of Warwick Hills did an outstanding job of running the tournament. Running a classy tournament is difficult enough but the rain that continued for hours on Day 3 made the course unplayable for awhile.

Ryan Jahn- Jahn, a former resident of Grand Blanc and played outstanding golf all three rounds. Jahn shot 73-72-73-218 for his three rounds and nearly won the tournament after leading for rounds one and two. He lost after four holes of sudden death. No harm. Jahn played great all week.

Nick Carlson- This Hamilton, Michigan resident is easily one of the top players in the State. He put together rounds of 74-75-69-218 and forced a playoff... which he won.

Reed Hrynewich- of Muskegon- Hrynewich played outstanding last year and was determined to make a run on day 3. He told me he was still in the hunt and his 77-71-71-219 nearly pulled off the trick. This future Michigan Wolverine has serious game and his look of determination during the round was outstanding to see.

Alex Waelchli- This Lake Orion Dragon (Clarkston) 77-75-74-226 kept grinding out superb rounds and showed plenty of fight. I think he will have an outstanding season for coach Marty Gallaher next year.

Alex Dombrowski- Gaylord- This 2012 graduate put together a solid 73-75-76-224 to finish tied for sixth. Dombrowski played in the Top 50 Junior Midwest Championship over the weekend and promptly won that with a pair of 69's. He does not have a college offer right now as he did not like the offers (percentage wise) and will work on his game this winter and hope to catch on with someone next year.

Michigan State University- Casey Lubahn must be some kind of recruiter. He signed one of the top seniors this year in Sean Friel of Brother Rice. Next year he has the last two Mr. Golf players in Sam Weatherhead (Grand Rapids) and Mr. Golf in 2011 Francesco Ruffino. Ryan Jahn (see above) may have already signed and perhaps he has another top player up his sleeve. MSU should be good to go over the next five years.

Indiana University- I am not sure of all the players they have signed but Max Kollin of Farmington Hills is on board and so is Will Seger of Jasper, Indiana. The Hoosiers have two excellent players for the next four or five years.

Aya Johnson- of North Muskegon- She started out rough and put together rounds of 82-75-75 to go from nearly last to tenth place. She also disappointed the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and has signed with Wisconsin. The badgers have signed a good player here.

Muni He- China- British Columbia- This girl is only 13-years-old and won the tournament with a score of 76-74-69-219. Is there anything more to say?

Julia Montgomery- Montgomery of Shelby Township only finished tied for 12th but did show flashes of strong play and is a top player on the Meijer Tour where she is having an outstanding season.

Finally, Randy Wise- Wise is not someone to invest his money sponsoring a tournament and forgetting about it. He was very present at the tournament and watched most of the golfers and was a super presence for all of those that were there. I am sure the AJGA is thankful to have a sponsor that cares.

As for the Non winners.... there were none. It was only a story teaser.
