Winners from the Top 50 Tour Midwest Championship from Tree Tops Resort in Gaylord

Treetops Staff- The staff was outstanding and very accommodating. The Tradition course was excellent and thankfully not the beast some of the other courses are at the resort.

Alex Dombrowski of Gaylord- He won the tournament with a pair of 69's. I hope he is able to get a golf scholarship to the terms he desires. Most people do not realize that golfers rarely get a 100% scholarship.

Natalie Blazo of Dearborn-She is the girls points leader by a large margin and played well enough to win. (77-81). I hope she has a big season for Dearborn High School this girls season.

David Smith of Highland- He shot a 70-72 for a two over par score of 142. Smith continues placing high in the Top 50 Tournaments. He won the Prestwick Village stop earlier this summer and was a finalist in the MHSAA Division 4 Tournament at MSU East in June.

Kyla Kurczewski of Oxford produced scores of 75-80 in the girls 12-15 age group. She had a birdie in each of her two rounds.

In the boys age 12 to 15 division two boys shot under par for one of their two rounds and as you can imagine, they finished first and second. Alex Austin of Farmington Hills shot 76-68 and first day leader Scott DiFilippo of Rochester shot 69-77.

 Finally, the Thomas family. Some tournaments have more volunteers but this family of three pulled off some solid work to keep the tournament running. The volunteers and parents also did a fantastic job.
