Michiganders are usually last minute people. Many years ago, the Palace would be half full during the Bad Boys years at the start of a game but by the middle of the first quarter the place would be full. Many people in southeast Michigan and beyond are waiting until the last minute to purchase tickets to what promises to be an outstanding event. I am talking about the U.S. Senior Open.

Celebrate Father's Day with the gift of golf for Dad! The United States Golf Association is bringing the 2012 U.S. Senior Open to Indianwood Golf & Country Club in Lake Orion, Mich., from July 9-15, and two good-any-day tickets are available for the special price of $70. Buy now!

It is that way for many major sporting events in the area and it seems to be holding true for the U.S. Senior Open being held at Indianwood Country Club. Ticket sales could be better for the event and tournament organizers would like to spread the word that tickets are available. The U.S. Senior Open is just over one month away and many of the biggest names of senior golf will be there from Tom Watson, Fred Couples and defending Champion Olin Browne. As a kicker, tickets for junior golfers are free with the paid admission of an adult. Right now, there is a special any day pass for $70 which includes tickets for two days of the championship.
