Marc White says Golf Fitness Training is Important

The online story is attached>  http://oaklandgolfscene.blogspot.com/

Most people have heard of golf lessons and if you have played long enough… you most likely have had one. For Marc White  a thirty year teaching PGA Professional… gives both lessons and Titleist Performance Institute or TPI  tests to golfers to test golfers fitness levels. These fitness tests used in combination with recommended golf exercises will help a golfer to have the flexibility to perform the proper components of a golf swing.

Marc White is a teaching professional out of Oakhurst Country Club and the Great Lakes Athletic Club and his full performance academy helps golfers of all skill levels improve their performance.

White said many golfers come from work to the golf course without proper warmups and this increases both the risk for injury and a golfers score. The exercises are different from what you would do at an exercise class or pumping iron at the gym and they are designed by Titleist so the game for a lifetime can be just that.

The exercises take a look at the core areas of your hips, back and shoulders and after you take the test… White feeds the data into the computer and Titleist analyzes the data and
you are assigned a golf fitness handicap.  My golf physical fitness handicap is a twenty-four which is below average. While I regularly work out playing golf, lifting weights and walking,  White summarizes where my golf fitness needs to improve.

While the excercises seem strange in the beginning… the bottom line is if you want to maximize performance… you have to workout with training ideas that are outside the box.
