Top 50 Has Leaders in Points Pulling Away

     The Top 50 Jr. Tour has reached its halfway point and both the 16-18 boys and girls top echelon is separating themselves from the pack. Tommy Prato of Dearborn has already won multiple times this year and after playing in six events has a commanding 171 point lead over Matt Sherry of Northville and Guy  Frydenlund of Ann Arbor. Prato is averaging 79.1 for 18 holes this year and finds himself on top of the points list because he plays not only well but often. His six tournaments lead all competitors and he has three eagles and 18 birdies this season. Sherry of Northville, has a 80.3 tournament scoring average and four tournaments played and also has three eagles and 20 birdies on the Top 50 Tour this season. Matthew Goldi of Farmington Hills is fifth, Jack Alli of Clarkston is sixth and Eric Busa of Rochester Hills is 7^th at the mid point.

   The 16-18 girls division also has several players pulling away but its one player setting a blaze and Natalie  Blazo will pardon the pun. Blaze has a commanding 97-point lead over Amanda Graham of Rochester. Blaze has collected 12 birdies this year and has a scoring average of  83.5. Graham has been consistently at the top after playing in four events this year and her scoring average sits at 86.17.

The Tour still has several stops this year at Fox Hills, Twin Lakes and Gaylord’s Tree Tops. The Top 50 Tour is run by Dan Thomas from Fox Hills Golf Club
