Michigan Golf Scene

     The Adams Golf Junior Tour has really been busy and their golfers have been all over the Detroit and Lansing areas. Recently, they were in Canton at the  Pheasant Run Golf Course. Rishi Patel won the Boys 15-19 Division after posting a 74(+2) for the day and earned first place. Patel did not run away and hide as Austin Sereno of Waterford, Benjamin Glod of Bloomfield Hills, and Conner Lang of of Ann Arbor finished four over par after carding 76’s. Second and third place were determined by a scorecard playoff, as three participants tied after shooting 76’s for their 18-hole round.  Austin Sereno of Waterford, Connor Lang of Ann Arbor, and Ben Glod of Bloomfield Hills were all in contention for the prize, but it was Connor who was awarded second and Austin third. Nine golfers broke 80 in all.

The Meijer Tour also golfed recently at Forest Akers Golf Course in East Lansing recently and Aaron McCoy of Marshall went low and to the excellent finishing score of two under par. The scores were low and Nicholar Mitter of Brighton put together a score of even par 72. The Meijer-Adams Tour will be at Twin Lakes and Edgewood as the summer season continues.
