College Golf: MSU outlasts Lamar, UM and seven other schools at Michigan Invitational

    
     The UM collegiate golf course is one of the finest college facilities in the country and players overall played a third round that would have made famed course designer Alister MacKenzie proud.
      With six teams playing the final round as a team under par in the 54 hole tournament, few schools gave up even though only four had a realistic chance of taking home the honors. With Lamar and MSU being tied with just two golfers needing to play 17 and 18, the final two made the difference.
