Auburn Hills Oakland Christian finishes first at the 2013 Division 4 Regional 20 at Lake Forest Golf Course on Wednesday
For individual qualifiers, Petersburg Summerfield's Wyatt Spalding led all shooters with a 67.
"Wyatt's only lost one match he didn't medal in, and he was also a medalist at Wolf Creek," Petersburg Summerfield coach Bob Howard said. "The last couple weeks he's been in a different kind of zone. We took him up for a practice round because he hadn't played the course before, and he shot pretty well. Today he woke up and told his mom and dad that he felt good, and then he got a par on the first hole to get things going for him. He's been good all season for us."
Southfield Christian's Frank Holecek also qualified with a 79, good for second place, and Franklin Road Christian's Phillip Isbell finished third with an 80 and qualified for States, which he earned in a playoff.
Jackson - Jackson Christian finished in ninth place with a 369, and was led by freshman Noah Schneider with an 87.
“This ends our season, and it was a little disappointing," Jackson Christian coach Brian Jenks said. "It seems each guy had a bad hole.
"Overall it was one of our best seasons in school history. I expected to get to the regionals, but didn’t know if we would get much farther. It probably was our best chance to get to States, but it wasn’t to be. For next year I only have two, possibly three returning. The good news is my No. 1 all year, Noah Schneider, will be back.”
Ann Arbor - Ann Arbor Greenhills finished in eighth place with a 359.
