AJGA Field for the Randy Wise Open at Warwick Hills

Another top field will be on hand for the Randy Wise Open being held at Warwick Hills Country Club August 19th-22nd.

     Quite a few distinguished players will be on hand for this AJGA event. Two-time champion Henry Do is still eligible but with his freshman season at North Carolina just a few weeks away, he will skip the event to get ready for his first NCAA season. Last years champion, Nick Carlson won the tightly contested event (Do skipped due to injury) and he figures to be in the thick of things this year. So does Brandon Barrows of Lake Orion. He finished third at the Coca Cola Championships at Boyne in July and should be a huge factor. Adam Firavich of Hartland is also a strong player that could make noise and a top ten finish would not be surprising. Two MSU Spartan recruits Francesco Ruffino and Charlie green will participate and if they are on, these two could win this event and in the case of Ruffino, he has tremendous talent and could finally break through and win this event.  Reed Hrynewich of Muskegon is a 2013 finalist for Mr. Golf and has played strong. If his knee holds up, this lefty could be in the final pairing. So can Kyle Rodes, the 2013 Mr. Golf who has played very well in many tournaments (the exception being the Coca-Cola) but it would be no surprise if he takes home the medalist honors. The same goes for Mr. Golf in 2012 Sam Weatherhead who would like to enter MSU as a winner of this event. Donnie Trosper of Plymouth and AJ Varekois are exceptional players who could surprise as is youngster Andrew Walker. Walker is playing in the US Amateur this week and will play this AJGA event right after. Alex Kleckner of White Lake was runner-up to Rodes at MSU in June and very well could pull out a top finish.
