Girls MHSAA Regionals - Who Plays Where and which regionals get local coverage?

     The girls get a short shrift when it comes to the high school golf season. They begin the last week in August and are already playing their regionals barely five weeks later. They then play their finals one week later. While it is not fair, its the way it goes.

There are four regionals that I have to choose from and hopefully I will be able to cover two. The three main days of the regionals are Wednesday, October 9th through Friday the 11th.

How will coverage be chosen? Look at the Metro Detroit teams. The Oakland Press-Macomb Daily and the Heritage and one other paper downriver will determine where I go.

The finals will be held the Friday and Saturday of October 18th and 19th at the usual places of MSU Forest Akers Courses and at GVSU 'The Meadows Course. I will be at MSU covering D1 or D2 depending on how things go on day one.
