MEN'S GOLF: Oakland improves on Day Two of Folino Invitational

INDUSTRY, Calif. — Nick Cunningham fired a 76 and Mark Foster shot a 77 to pace the Oakland men's golf team in the second round of the Folino Invitational on Monday at Industry Hills Golf Club. The Golden Grizzlies finished with a team score of 313 on Day Two and stand in ninth place overall (629/+53).

"We were hoping for a little more improvement today," said Oakland coach Russ Cunningham. "If we can string together a few more quality shots, I think the confidence and execution will more closely match our skill level."

Foster has a 36-hole total of 155 (+11) and is in a tie for 31st place. Evan Bowser is right behind Foster at 156 (+12) and is in a tie for 35th place, while Cunningham is tied for 40th place at 158 (+14).

UC Irvine continues to lead the tournament, posting a score of 287 (-1) and a two-day total of 577 (+1). The Anteaters lead Long Beach State by six shots.
The final round will begin on Tuesday morning.
